AQS Quilt Show

Due to the popularity of this show we are requiring a 25% deposit at time of booking with full payment received no later than February 15, 2012.   Please call if you need to make other arrangements.  I am limiting this tour to 40 people.  First come, first serve. (Itinerary subject to change)

Highlights of the trip include:

  • 2 day show ticket to the Quilt Museum
  • Visit Eleanor Burns at the Fair Grounds

Day 1
Depart Village Tours I35 & N.E. 50th at 5:00 .a.m. We may have pickups in the Tulsa area as well.  We will be traveling for 14 hours therefore, we will make as many stops as needed.  I will provide soft drinks and snacks but you may bring your own.  Bring a book or quilting or a blanket, pillow?whatever you need to make yourself comfortable.  The bus comes equipped with a DVD, leg rests and beverage trays for your convenience.  Arrival and departure times are approximate ONLY!!

7:00 a.m.    Depart Oklahoma City  (call for additional pick up locations)
8:30 a.m.    Stop for breakfast
12:00 p.m.  Lunch
6:00 p.m.   Check into Pear Tree Inn in Sikeston, MO.
Dinner at Lamberts (your expense)

Day 2
Breakfast included
7:30 a.m.    First Quilt Show (ticket + quilt museum ticket) On your own today.
6:00 p.m.   Depart Paducah for the Emerald Waters Lodge in Mayfield (www.lodgeatemeraldswater.com)

Day 3
Breakfast included
8:30 a.m    Depart for Quilt Show
Visit great places like Elearnor Burns at the Fairgrounds, her shop or Rotary Quilt Show, etc.
6:00 p.m    Depart show for Lodge (dinner provided)
(We will have a show n share in our rooms this evening!!!)

Day 4
Breakfast included
8:00 a.m.   First stop-Hancocks of Paducah then to the  Quilt Show – on your own
5:00 p.m.   Depart Paducah for Pear Tree Inn in Sikeston  (dinner on your own)

Day 5
Breakfast included
8:30 a.m.   Bring luggage to motorcoach
9:00 a.m.   Depart for home.
6:30 p.m.   Estimated arrival in OKC

Dallas Quilt Celebration

This is a one-day trip to the Dallas Quilt show (Itinerary subject to change)

Show is hosted by the Greater Quilt Guild of Dallas County.

6:30 am Depart Village Tours
(N.E. 50th and I35-N.E. corner-some parking provided)

8:00 – 8:30 am Breakfast at McDonalds in Ardmore

10:00 am Arrive in Dallas at the Dallas Market Hall

4:30 pm Depart from Dallas

5:15 – 7:30 pm Dinner Carrollton, TX (Many restaurants to choose from)

10:30pm Arrive OKC

Cancellation policy:  Payments are due in full at time of booking.  Emergency cancellations are refunded in full if cancelled 10 days prior to trip departure.  After that time refunds are contingent upon that seat being re-sold.  If we cannot re-sell your seat, a 50% charge will be withheld and the remaining 50% will be refunded to you.  Cancellations with less than two days (48 hours) notice or “no shows” will NOT receive refunds unless your space is re-sold.

Breakfast is at your expense. You may dine at the hotel or ask the concierge for a list of restaurants in the area  (the bar area has cheaper food than the restaurant) Ticket to quilt show included

5:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Mystery quilt shop visit and dinner ( dinner on your own) (trip is not mandatory)

You are on your own today.  Enjoy the show.
We will have baggage handling so have your bags ready by 6:30 a.m tomorrow.

8:00 p.m.  Farewell gathering poolside.  Drinks and snacks included. (or bring your own) Bring your bathing suit if you dare.!!

SATURDAY, Nov. 6
9:00 a.m.  Depart for Oklahoma City.   Breakfast at hotel at your expense.
We will make 3 rest stops on the way home.

This shopping spree will begin when you board a Village Tours bus in Oklahoma City and depart for Tulsa, Vinita, Colcord, Siloam Springs and VanBuren, Ark and Henryetta, OK.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure for boarding.

Day 1

8:30 a.m. Depart Village Tours, 50 N.E. 50th, OKC

10:00 a.m. Quilt Sampler, Tulsa, OK

12:30 p.m. Summerside Vineyards,Vinita (lunch included)

3:30 p.m. Guthrie Fabrics, Colcord, OK

5:15 p.m. Sager Creek Quilts, Siloam Springs, Ark, lodging & dinner( on own)

Day 2

Sister’s Outdoor Quilt Show

***THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED***

(Airfare is not included) Our trip starts when you arrive in Portland, July 6th and includes 6 nights lodging, all breakfasts, 2 lunches and 1 dinner, ground transportation for 5 days. Also included are tickets to the Int’l Rose Garden, Pittock Mansion and the Quilt Show. We will visit the towns of Canon Beach along the Pacific coastline, Salem, Bend, Sisters, Hood River and Portland.

You’ll find quilt shops galore, marvelous fresh seafood, Roses, roses and more roses, fruit orchards, wineries, breathtaking views of the Columbia River Gorge, beautiful waterfalls and ample photo opportunities. All this plus the largest outdoor quilt show in the country. Our hotel accommodations in Portland and Salem will be at the Red Lion Hotels. Accommodations at the Sugarloaf Mountain Motel while in Bend, Oregon.

A 25% deposit ($200.00) is due at time of booking to secure your reservation. The balance must be received by Redbud Tours no later than May 1, 2011. Reservations will be limited to the first 25 passengers. Make your reservation early!! If payment arrangements are necessary, please contact me. Check or money order only or PayPal. South of the Border (the Oklahoma border, that is) down Texas way is where we’re headed today.

We will visit quilt stores in Ft. Worth, Arlington, Waxahachie, Quitman, McKinney and Garland.  We will start our day at Village Tours, 50 N.E. 50th, OKC.  Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure.

Shop Till You Drop

This weekend, October 1 and 2 we’ll venture off to the largest flea market, garage sale in this neck of the woods!   The name of this event is the First Monday Trade Days, held every month in Canton, Texas.

If you need to shop for Christmas gifts, that one-of-a-kind, hard to find item, you should find it here.  The Trade Days is legendary with people coming from states near and far to attend this sale.  Pack your bag, make a shopping list and join us on our first Trade Days trip.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure for luggage handling.

Day 1

7:00 a.m. Depart Village Tours

Stop at Ardmore for breakfast/break

1:00 p.m. Arrive Canton First Monday Trade Days

While you are shopping we will check you into your hotel in Terrell.

6:00 Pick up from Trade Days

6:30 Dinner and hotel check in

Day 2

Breakfast at hotel

Pack your bags and bring to motorcoach by 8:30 a.m.

9:00-3:00 p.m. More shopping-make sure you take your shopping list-last chance!!
